Those of us over at Way To Go Media have a number of things going on, so I thought I’d update you.
1. Current Doc. The script for our next project, the metaphysical documentary “The Inner Sonic Key” is progressing rather nicely. We are also pulling together a lot of the required footage, and should be able to determine soon if any anything else needs to be shot. Soon we will searching for someone to do the narration. Obviously making a documentary is quite different than making a dramatic film. You certainly don’t need near as many people. Also, true production is a longer drawn out process because you can always go back and pick up any needed footage. Plus, you can license footage that has already been shot. In lots of ways you have much more control. And as far as the script, that always seems in flux, even into post. I’m sure as we get into post we’ll see how much.
2. Animated Feature. Our next feature film on the slate is an animated sci-fi adventure called “Patterns of Creation.” Several drafts have already been written and a rewrite is currently in progress. Later in the year we will be searching for animation team leaders to help us build a crew of animators to go into full production by 2015.
3. More Docs. On the back burner we have two other documentaries being developed, “Mt. Shasta Spirit” and “Dreams Awake Magic.” The first is the spiritual story behind Mt. Shasta, considered one of the most sacred places on earth. The second is all about what went on behind the making of our award-winning film “Dreams Awake.”
4. Social Media. We are currently conducting a bit of a social media campaign for “Dreams Awake” to get it out into the public eye for people who still have not heard about it. We want to make sure that they do. You can check all that out here:

5. Next Feature? We probably won’t know for at least a year or so what our next live action feature will be. We may go back to the project we planned to shoot this year, “One Hand Clapping,” or the other one we have in active development, “The God Dilemma.” Either way, the earliest production year would probably be 2016.
