Our latest project, THE INNER SONIC KEY, is proceeding along very well, even if somewhat slower than I had originally expected. But of course that’s usually the norm for film projects anyway. Especially indie ones. Anyway, I thought I’d pass along a few pics of our progress, for your perusing enjoyment …
D. C. going to work.
D. C. Douglas is the narration voice on our project. Most of you probably don’t know him by name, but he has had many dramatic acting appearances on television, as well as doing commercials. However, he is mostly known in the video gaming world by his numerous credits. Good guy and very professional. A great addition to our project.

We recorded D. C. in Bruce Chianese‘s studio, taking most of the day. Bruce is our composer, is very experienced, and also did the score for DREAMS AWAKE. He’s fun to work with and I know I’ve presented a challenge for him, as this project is pretty atypical for anyone to tackle. But I expect great things from him.

Directing a voice actor was a very challenging experience for me. It took a different skill set for me to figure out how well he was voice performing, when I just had his voice to go by. Most of it was just gut instinct. Not having visuals to compare with voice, I felt a bit handicapped. But D. C. and Bruce helped me along, and now after working with the visuals to make the creation come alive, I feel like we did really great. More in the future …
