Marbella, Spain – (October 1, 2012) — The independently produced, award-winning film “Dreams Awake” will be screening at four different film festivals over the next two weeks, two of which are in Europe. The film has garnered nine awards at a dozen different film festivals to date, and is in for another busy period.
The first festival up is the Marbella International Film Festival in Marbella Spain. The film screens on Wednesday, October 3. The Director Jerry Alden Deal and the Executive Producer Berry Deal will be attending, as well as conducting a Q & A afterwards.
Next up are two festivals on the same weekend, Vegas Cine Fest in Las Vegas, NV, and theNorthampton International Film Festival in Northampton, MA. The film screens in Las Vegas on Friday, October 5, and in Northampton on Sunday, October 7. Stars Erin Gray and Gary Graham, along with production designer, Renee Prince will attend Vegas Cine Fest and also conduct a Q & A after the screening. Transmedia Architect Jay Deal will be attending the Northampton festival and will also conduct a Q & A after that screening.
And finally on October 11, the film will screen at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in the United Kingdom, at Westgate on Sea in Kent. The Director and Executive Producer will also be attending this screening, as well as participating in a Q & A. The film is up for seven different awards at this festival.
“Dreams Awake” stars Erin Gray, Gary Graham and Tim O’Connor. Gray is known primarily for her lead roles in the TV series “Silver Spoons” and “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,” but has also appeared in several other TV series’ and indie films. Graham starred in the TV series “Alien Nation” and “Star Trek Enterprise,” along with roles in a number of indie films. O’Connor came out of retirement to cap off his long career, which included starring opposite Erin Gray in “Buck Rogers,” as well as numerous roles dating back to the 1950s. He is primarily known for his role in the 1960’s TV series “Peyton Place.”
Billed as a mystical family drama, the story’s logline reads, “While on vacation a disconnected family gets stranded near mystical Mt. Shasta and amazing possibilities open up. A glimpse into the subtle but intense possibilities of the human spirit, this spiritual drama delves into that magical lore between reality and illusions, dreams and awake, and life and immortality.”
